Britt Herring is a Memphis-based collage artist and sculptor who creates from her sense of connection. Self-taught, she works primarily in paper, wire, wood, and plastic across a variety of techniques, leaning on her upbringing under the tutelage of quilters and crocheters which is evident in her use of color and pattern. She is also passionate about using materials redeemed from a life in the landfill. Her work has been shown consistently around Memphis since 2022, and her collage piece “Making a Way” won Best of Show at the Memphis Botanical Gardens in June 2024.
